Keep It Simple !
Dealing with Confusion, Anxiety and Racing Thoughts
1. Make a list of all the things that are bothering you – feelings, thoughts, conflicts you feel - anything about your situation that bothers you. Don’t try to figure it out, just name it, list it, and/or describe it briefly.
2. Make a second list of things you can do today, to make any of the problems you’ve listed better. Include anything you know you need to do, and anything you think might help you feel better about yourself. Little things and simple measures are just fine. Also list for yourself anything you realize you shouldn't do just now, because it's not good for you.
3. Once you’ve made your list, carry out the tasks and practical steps you’ve identified for yourself, and take care to not do anything you know wouldn't be good for you. Do this simple three step exercise as often as you need to, when you feel overwhelmed or confused by your feelings, thoughts or situation.
